Black Friday and Amazon Are a Match Made in Heaven

Yesterday, I wrote a blog post warning noobies that not every Black Friday deal is a good deal. After reading that blog post back a few times and realizing its somewhat negative tone, I felt compelled to do another blog post about Black Friday, but this time in a more positive light. That positive for me is Amazon.com. Black Friday, and the few days that follow, are some of the funnest days to shop online at Amazon.com. Here’s why. For starters, Amazon.com can’t disguise a bad deal as a good one. This is mainly because of its built-in reviews and recommendations. If a product doesn’t live up to the hype, you’ll know immediately by looking at the overall customer rating and reading the reviews. Or you can use Amazon’s “What Do Customers Ultimately Buy After Viewing This Item?” feature to see how many people jump ship to another product that, in the eyes of Amazon’s customers, is better than the one you are currently viewing. Try getting that kind of information from a brick and mortar retailer. And let’s not forget that when you shop online, you avoid all of the following:
Getting stuck in traffic Fighting for a parking spot Running around like mad, pushing and shoving (or avoiding all of these) trying to grab the last doorbuster product on the shelf Long lines Foot pain, hunger and exhaustion Amazon Customer VotesBesides the great Black Friday deals at Amazon.com there is one other part of Amazon.com I love during this time of year. It’s called Amazon Customer Votes. If you have never participated in this, you have to try it. I could explain it in great detail but I think Amazon does a much better job explaining it right on their web site.I already cast my votes and you should too. It may be the best deal you get all weekend.
