Revolutionizing Green Logistics: NX Logistics Thailand Rolls Out Its Premier Electric Truck

NX Logistics Thailand, a subsidiary of the global NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., marks a significant stride in eco-friendly transportation with the launch of its inaugural zero-emission electric truck. This move aligns with the company’s dedicated efforts to combat climate change and underscores its commitment to sustainable logistics solutions.

In the forefront of environmental stewardship, NX Logistics Thailand aligns with its parent group’s mission by endorsing the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) and implementing its guidelines to foster transparency and reduction in CO2 emissions. The introduction of over 12,000 eco-conscious vehicles, including hybrid and electric trucks, as well as hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs) in Japan, exemplifies the group’s active role in promoting green logistics.

Despite the global uptick in electric vehicle utilization for diminished CO2 emissions, the adoption within Thailand’s logistics sector, particularly for commercial electric trucks, remains nascent. NX Logistics Thailand’s deployment of its electric truck on January 19, with a substantial payload capacity of 8,800 kg and an operational range of 200 km, sets a pioneering standard. Stationed at the Bangkok Logistics Center near Suvarnabhumi Airport, the electric truck is slated for crucial roles in air cargo transportation and various logistical functions. Moreover, the company envisions a greener future with plans to augment its fleet with additional electric vehicle models, including trailer heads, thus reinforcing its leadership in sustainable logistics innovation.
