Discover the Historical Charm and Stunning Renovation of the Spokane Fox Theater

Spokane’s Fox Theater: A Majestic and Restored Landmark

Experience the magic of the arts at the Fox Theater, located in the heart of downtown Spokane’s Davenport Arts District. This 1600-seat venue boasts a rich history, inspired by a 1931 art deco motif, and has been beautifully restored with over $31 million in funds. The Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox re-opened its doors in 2007 and has since been serving as a regional center for the performing arts.

The Fox Theater hosts a wide range of events, including product unveilings, employee recognition events, presentations, holiday celebrations, weddings, conferences, plays, dance, opera, lectures, proms, graduations, concerts, and memorial services. The restoration project has modernized the theater with new technology, improved acoustics, and compliance with ADA requirements.

The Fox Theater’s mission is to preserve its historic roots while promoting the performing arts on a local, regional, and national level. The venue also aims to enhance collaboration among community performing organizations and provide an educational and entertaining environment for audiences of all ages. Notable performers at the Fox include Katharine Hepburn, Marian Anderson, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Attending a gala event at the Fox Theater is an unforgettable experience, as shared by Carol Snyder, “Climbing the Fox’s grand staircase as a child, I always imagined ‘This must be what Cinderella feels like when she goes to the ball.” The Fox Theater continues to leave a lasting impression on those who attend its diverse performances. Love for music, love for arts, love for life – these are just some of the lessons to be learned at Spokane’s Fox Theater.
